SPOILER ALERT!
A scary portray of a future stripped of all hope and dreams for the future. And for ones, not a future-movie where everyone drives flying cars and computers plan armageddon, we can't manage to build proper health care, who are we kidding. BUT, this was at least semi-realistic, yet scary and well made. Exciting, greate film.
One thing doh, the baby should have been named "Theodora", only fair :P

What the fuck? oh right

Brilliant dark comedy! exceptional acting by the always wonderful Malkovich. A story of how small scale plans evolve into an unrecognizable mess. Very entertaining and ingtriguing the whole way trough. Great cast and evan greater caracters. most frequently used line was probably "what the fuck", but always in good humour and carefully placed. Fucking awesome!

NB, when writing a movie with a SHITTY ending....

started kind of promising, at the first sight of tentacles I was sceptical... Still, dispite of strange/bad dialog and fishy explanations it wasn't a total trainwreck until the very end... I'm sorry, but when you make the viewer watch an apacolypse for 2,5 hours, the ending better be freakin good! Theres no need to spill my guts on how it ended, but I dare claim, that it is hands down the WORST ending I have EVER seen... It was like something an angry 14 year old would write on an essay, just to piss of the teacher who had to read 10 pages of crappy grammer. AND, when you throe in words like "alternate dimension" or "portal to another world", I better see some sort of fancy shit, not just a bad actor uttering a few sentences with no visual stuff...
Don't waste 2,5 perfectly usable hours of lifetime on this crap....

brrrr....

Very enjoyable film.... I thought it would be sort of clichรฉ, but nope. generally quite chilling, well done and fascinating. I have not seen the first version, but I sure will now. Both "bad-guys" where very convincing as cold blooded psyckos. I especially got a buzz from the parts reminding the viewer that your watching fiction, but what is really the difference? Weird how you sort of feel "on the spot" and half guilty when your brought directly into the plot.
